When Two Voices Became One: Amanda and Leeson’s Rustic Romance at Brick & Co Studio

A vocal coach and marketing executive designed a wedding that reflected their shared love of music, faith, and intentional style, set against the raw elegance of an industrial studio.

The late afternoon light poured through Brick & Co Studio’s soaring ceilings, catching on clusters of deep red and cappuccino roses arranged along the long tables. Against the raw concrete and exposed brick, the florals added warmth and texture in an elegant yet unpretentious way. For Amanda and Leeson, this balance of industrial structure and natural softness reflected who they are as a couple: grounded, genuine, and effortlessly themselves.

We wanted our guests to feel welcomed into something intimate,” Amanda shares. “The high ceilings and beautiful lighting drew us in first, but it was the way the space could hold both elegance and that rustic, down-to-earth feeling that made it ours.

Their wedding celebration on 12th July 2025 brought together 100 guests for an evening that honoured tradition whilst embracing the couple’s creative spirits. From the ceremony at Church of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (their parish where they both sing and serve) to the reception that featured their own musical performance, every element reflected a partnership built on shared faith, music, and steadfast love.

A Love Story Written in Invisible Threads

Some connections feel destined, even when they take the scenic route to unfold. Amanda and Leeson’s story is one of those beautiful near-misses that finally found their moment.

We were baptised in the same church as babies, attended the same polytechnic, joined the same CCA, and were even at the same event once with me as a competitor and Leeson as an organiser,” Amanda recalls with a laugh. “Yet somehow we never crossed paths until years later, through a dating app.

When they finally connected through Coffee Meets Bagel, the recognition was immediate. Amanda found Leeson warm, friendly, and disarmingly easy to talk to. For Leeson, Amanda’s striking presence and unique career as a vocal coach made for engaging conversation that felt less like a first date and more like catching up with an old friend.

If our love story were an object, it would be a sunset,” Amanda reflects. “Warm, constant, and full of quiet beauty. It reminds us that even in the simplest moments, there’s joy and the promise of a new tomorrow together.

Planning a Celebration That Felt Like Home

With a 1.5-year planning timeline for their July wedding, Amanda and Leeson approached their celebration with intention and practicality. Their priorities were clear from the start: a beautiful, relaxed wedding in an industrial venue space, and a reception that felt effortless for their guests.

The couple chose to work with several brands under the Manna hospitality group including Brick & Co Studio for the venue, Manna Pot Catering for food and coordination, Flora Artisan for reception florals, and Manna Weddings for day-of coordination. This decision simplified communication considerably, with Matthew from Manna Pot Catering serving as their primary contact who then coordinated with specialists across the different services.

Having one main person to work with at the beginning made everything so much smoother,” Amanda notes. “We didn’t feel overwhelmed by multiple vendors all asking questions at once.

For the church ceremony, they selected 85 Flowers (@85flowers_sg) to create the pew flowers, chair decorations, and Amanda’s bouquet which was a romantic arrangement of deep red roses, cappuccino roses, white eustomas, baby’s breath, and lush greenery. The combination brought elegance and soft natural beauty that would carry through to the reception’s aesthetic.

Their advice to other couples reflects this thoughtful approach: “Please look into reviews before committing to a vendor and never rush,” Amanda emphasises. “Enjoy yourself when you plan for your wedding, don’t lose sight of each other and the relationship while planning.

The Details That Made It Theirs

Amanda’s vision for the day unfolded across three distinct looks, each reflecting a different moment in their celebration. For the church ceremony, she wore a romantic floral gown from Bridefully Yours (@bridefullyyours), paired with Leeson in a classic black suit from Man of Honour (@manofhonour.sg) with a red bow tie.

The reception called for something with more sparkle. Amanda changed into a glittery gown from Digio Bridal (@digiobridal) while Leeson switched to a grey suit with a black bow tie. Her jewellery choices added personal touches: Ariana Grande x Swarovski heart earrings and necklace, plus a tennis bracelet from Made Different Co (@madedifferentco). Later, for the afterparty, Amanda wore a short sequined dress from Afterparty Bride (@afterpartybride), which was fun, lively, and perfect for dancing.

Every choice, from flowers to outfits, was carefully made to create a cohesive, heartfelt experience,” Amanda shares.

At Brick & Co Studio, Jonathan from Flora Artisan (@floraartisan) had interpreted the couple’s aesthetic direction into a floral design that complemented rather than competed with the minimalist space. A soft, airy floral arch provided a romantic focal point, while lush table centrepieces in burgundy tones brought warmth to the long-table layout. The florals needed to be styled intentionally. The studio’s bright, minimalist interior meant that too little would look sparse, while too much would overwhelm the room.

The couple’s faith and Peranakan heritage wove naturally through the day. Beyond the meaningful church ceremony at their parish, they incorporated a tea ceremony where Amanda wore Kebaya and Leeson wore a Batik shirt, honouring their shared cultural background in an intimate family moment.

Moments That Made Time Stand Still

When Amanda walked down the aisle at Church of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the vintage, romantic charm of their parish wrapped around nearly 300 guests. But for her, the world had narrowed to one person.

Seeing Leeson at the end of the aisle, the warmth in his eyes made everything feel surreal,” she remembers. “I felt an overwhelming sense of love and joy.”

The ceremony was deeply personal, held in the church where they both sing and serve. Before their formal vows, they’d shared a private moment that stayed with them both: “And I will choose you today, tomorrow, and every single day to be my partner, my love, and my home.

At the reception, one of the most memorable moments came when Amanda and Leeson performed together. As a vocal coach and musician, Amanda’s artistry is woven into her daily life, and singing has always been part of their relationship. Their performance of “Endless Love” wasn’t just entertainment; it was an extension of who they are as a couple.

We love the lyrics, which perfectly capture how we feel about each other,” Amanda says. “Singing it together during our wedding made it a moment we’ll always treasure.

The intimate reception allowed for these spontaneous, genuine moments. De Pair (@depair.sg) captured the celebration beautifully, from composed portraits against Brick & Co’s rustic brick walls to candid shots of joy-filled toasts and laughter. The raw concrete textures mixed with the couple’s elegance created images that felt real, intimate, and full of personality.

The speeches brought another wave of emotion. “They were incredibly touching, full of love, and honoured our family members in such a meaningful way,” Amanda recalls. “It made us feel surrounded by the support, care, and shared history of everyone present.

Throughout the evening, the atmosphere remained exactly as they’d envisioned: warm, genuine, and full of love. The soft lighting, florals, and rustic textures reflected who they are, while the evening’s flexible flow created space for performances, toasts, and celebration that extended late into the night.

What Really Mattered

Looking back on their wedding day, Amanda and Leeson invested thoughtfully in what mattered most to them. Their total budget came in under SGD $40,000, with early decisions setting the foundation for everything that followed.

We booked our photography and videography team first,” Amanda explains. “We wanted to secure a good rate, and we’re so glad we splurged on De Pair as they captured every precious moment and gave us memories we’ll cherish forever.

The venue was another area where investment paid off. “It was everything we envisioned and more, and we have absolutely no regrets choosing it,” she adds.

For couples planning similar celebrations, Amanda’s guidance is clear: research thoroughly, don’t rush vendor commitments, and keep the relationship at the centre of the planning process. The couple discovered that some aspects they initially thought important didn’t impact the day as much as expected, while the elements that truly reflected their personalities, like the music, the intimate atmosphere, and the meaningful venue choices, created the celebration they’ll always remember.

Working with specialists from each area of the wedding, from Manna Pot Catering, Manna Weddings to Flora Artisan, meant having professionals who understood not just the logistics, but the emotional heart of what they were creating. Coordination across venue, catering, florals, and planning remained seamless throughout, with Matthew as the primary point of contact, allowing Amanda and Leeson to be fully present for their celebration.

Building Their “And”

When asked about the moment she knew “this is it,” Amanda returns to Leeson’s willingness to care for her during difficult times. Not through grand gestures, but through quiet, consistent presence. For Leeson, it was Amanda standing by him without hesitation during his lowest moments.

Those moments made us both realise that love isn’t just about romance, but about showing up for each other through everything,” Amanda reflects.

Their wedding day reinforced those lessons. “It taught us how deeply we support and care for each other,” she shares. “It showed us that love isn’t just about the big gestures, but also the small, everyday moments standing by each other, sharing laughter and joy, and celebrating life together.

If they could relive one moment from their wedding, it would be their musical performance together. “Sharing those songs with each other and in front of our guests was incredibly emotional, intimate, and magical,” Amanda says. “A moment that truly captured our love and joy.

Looking forward, they envision their “&” – the beyond-the-wedding part of their story – as a lifelong partnership built on laughter, faith, and shared dreams. They’re looking forward to creating a home filled with warmth, good food, music, and love, growing through every season together, and choosing each other every day.

Marriage is about partnership, trust, and choosing each other every single day,” Amanda reflects. And in the space between those daily choices, there’s music; the kind that only two voices learning to sing as one can create.
