A Unique Wedding at Hort Park: Love, Culture, and Culinary Artistry
For Nadine and Ridzuan, their wedding was a celebration that went beyond tradition, a deeply personal reflection of their love, heritage, and individuality. Nadine, a skilled head chef with Peranakan roots, and Ridzuan, whose heritage is Malay, didn’t just plan a wedding – they crafted an experience that was uniquely theirs, infused with thoughtful details and meaningful touches.

Hort Park: The Perfect Backdrop for a Vibrant Wedding
Hort Park provided the perfect canvas for their day—a lush, green space that allowed the couple to make it their own. With vibrant, wildflower-inspired decor, they transformed the venue into a colourful and inviting wonderland.
We wanted something fun and bright, something that would make people light up as soon as they walked in
Nadine & Ridzuan
The lively, warm atmosphere was a true reflection of their personalities, making guests feel instantly at home.

Culinary Magic: A Wedding Feast Like No Other
But the real showstopper of the day was the food. In a refreshing twist, Nadine and Ridzuan chose to prepare the meal themselves, with Nadine’s expertise leading the way. Together with her trusted kitchen team, they crafted a buffet that celebrated their shared love of food and culture, blending the flavours of Nonya and Malay cuisines.
As a chef, I wanted the food to represent us
Nadine
From the hearty mains to the exquisite dessert table by Puffs & Peaks, every dish was carefully chosen to reflect their love for food and their guests.
Seeing everyone enjoy the meal we put so much thought into made it all worth it
Nadine

A Dress That Told a Story
Nadine’s gown was another standout element of the day. A bespoke creation by Studio HHFZ, it featured intricate batik detailing that beautifully blended both of their cultures. The reversible cape, adorned with lace and pastry-inspired buttons, paid homage to Nadine’s culinary passion, while the batik fabric featured on both the gown and veil tied the look together.
I love that I can rewear it for special occasions
Nadine

Magical Moments: Music and Memories
The couple’s march-in, accompanied by Footnotes Ensemble’s rendition of Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars,” was a moment that left a lasting impression.
If we could change anything, we’d have recorded the entire set so we could listen to it forever.
Nadine & Ridzuan

The Heart of the Celebration
But for Nadine and Ridzuan, the most memorable moments weren’t just about the food or the decor—it was about seeing their loved ones enjoy the day. Whether it was posing for photos at the booth or simply sharing in the joy of the occasion, those were the moments that truly filled their hearts.
That’s what made the day so special.
