Remember Reagan and Jamie who had to postpone their wedding that was initially set for 9 May 2020? Well, aren’t we glad to see them finally tied the knot on 10 April 2021?

Reagan and Jamie recognised how incredibly blessed they have been to just have to postpone their celebration once and to have the tremendous support of their wedding vendors. Still, the pandemic was a big curveball that was thrown their way. It is no wonder their initial reaction when the whole episode began was “fxxk”. Yet, as we all know, the dust settles after a while. Their positivity and light-heartedness in approaching the situation may have contributed to the abundance of goodness they experienced on their wedding day.

Read on to find out how Reagan and Jamie turned this into their party of a lifetime and hopefully, their positive energy gets rubbed off on you!

FUN Remains Part of the Plan

Reagan and Jamie have always wanted a wedding that spells F-U-N. Originally planned for 300 guests, the pandemic forced the couple to reduce their guest count to 100. Their initial plan would also have turned their celebration into a Wedding Carnival of some sort with lawn games, a photo booth, an ice cream cart, and a roving band. However, COVID-19 restrictions made these impossible.

They found ways to keep guests entertained by working with what they have and managed to keep “fun” a central element of the wedding. They also successfully negotiated with their parents and was able to invite a bulk of their closest friends to the celebration.

If you’re wondering what you can do to make an “activity-deprived” wedding fun and memorable, here’s what Reagan and Jamie have to say –

The Wedding Day at Panamericana

Besides pure fun, Reagan and Jamie also basked in constant blessings on the wedding day.

They chose Panamericana because of their love for the water. The venue was a dream come true for them with its beautiful lawn overlooking the South China Sea. To enhance the natural beauty of the space, the couple opted for low floral arrangements that do not obstruct the stunning sea view the venue offers.

Besides the incredible view, they also had the one and only thing any couple could wish for especially when they’re holding an outdoor wedding –

Some of these memories that Jamie was reliving were the quiet moments she got to fully immerse herself in what was happening and of course to hear the promise of a lifetime being verbalised in front of their nearest and dearest –

When the Wedding Planner Plans Her Wedding

Jamie happens to be in a unique position as she works as a wedding planner and venue manager. Having worked with many wedding couples herself, her level of dedication towards events of such nature naturally extended to her own wedding…

Split the Workload

We think what makes it amazing though was also the fact that Jamie let different people lead different aspects of the wedding depending on where their strengths lie!

Beyond just the traditions, Jamie’s father also contributed to the wedding in a rather interesting manner.

What often makes a wedding unique are the little touches the couple considered to make the wedding truly theirs. Reagan loves cats which explains the various cat details that runs through the wedding. As for Jamie, she handmade all the little (and big) embroidered hoops that was used to spruce up the wedding décor and even serve as their own ring holder! Lessons Learnt

As was mentioned earlier, besides reliving the details of her wedding day again and again, Jamie’s occupation had led her to ponder on the areas she could improve on post-wedding. Here are some things she learnt!

Thankfully for the couple, memories of the day were captured by their photographer, Samuel Goh. The couple’s advice to anyone planning their wedding now is to…

It is no wonder the couple consider engaging Samuel the best thing they got for the wedding!

Thank you Jamie and Reagan for sharing your story with us! We wish you a very blissful marriage!
